the simple things

a few weeks ago b and i took the day off of work and spent the day with our niece and nephew. it was a great opportunity to be able to pause our fast paced lives and reflect on the simple things. listening to our niece nephew babble in the backseat and dance to lady gaga made the stack of papers on my desk seem obsolete. it’s amazing how spending a day with the ones that you love puts things into perspective.

mini vacation

b, bailey, and i packed up the car and headed north for a few days. we met b’s parents, sister-in-law, and our adorable niece and nephew in st. germain, wisconsin. it was SO nice to have a few days away from the office, studio, and relax with family.

love this little character!!
b and roman

bailey was such a good girl. ..and didn’t mind getting some of roman’s meals :-)
my niece, sephra. she’s at such a fun age and oh so happy.

bailey’s bed worked out better for sephra, than bailey. it fit her perfectly and she loved it.

we’re hoping to get to
-chicago
-minneapolis/ eau claire
-door county
all within the next two months. fall is our favorite season to travel and we have a few things to get done and family to see before things pick up!!

sister, sister.. a may wedding

a few weeks ago i had the honor of standing up in my dear friend, clare’s wedding. i met clare through b, and we instantly hit it off. we share a love for chicago, shopping, and frozen yogurt. clare and i are both only children; so we both know what it’s like not having any siblings. clare and david (who also is my lovely brother-in-law) hit it off at our wedding. before we knew it, they were engaged and recently got married. they are one of my favorite couples ever and it’s awesome having a close friend part of the family now.

all pictures are compliments of craig john (http://www.craigjohn.com)

getting ready. i //hate// smiling for pictures that only involve myself. coping method: smile ridiculously.

clare’s shoes and bouquet were absolutely gorgeous.

her ring is also gorgeous, so unique and fancy cut- good job david!
here i come. b is the best man (first guy on the left in case you didn’t know!)

baby sephra was wearing a custom lovely poppy headband, which matched her adorable dress.
the weather was gorgeous, a tad bit chilly- but a lot warmer than our wedding.

i love, love, love this picture. good ‘ol lake michigan at it’s finest.
b and i spent most of the night dancing with roman, our nephew. he’s quite the dancer.

congrats david and clare. we are so happy for you both!!
