having a mantle is one of my favorite features of our new house. i love being able to decorate it however i want, whenever i want- with inexpensive things that are around the house. i can’t wait to switch things up for fall and christmas. before we moved, i decided i wanted to go with a B theme to start with, since our last name starts with a B.
most of the items on the mantle were bought specifically for this purpose, but for fall and christmas i already have most of what i want to use to decorate it. antique stores and garage sales are great places to find little treasures to display.
i’m not very lucky when it comes to giveaways, but a few months ago i won a lisa leonard giveaway and couldn’t have been more thrilled! i choose this adorable little bunting set, that is one of my favorite pieces in the house.
one of my other favorite parts of the mantle is this ah-mazing candle. i usually don’t spend more than 10-15 dollars on a candle, but this one is amazing and makes me feel like i’m living in an anthro store.
